I'm so excited that I get to see this little cutie every three months for her first year. She was such a smiley little girl at her 3 month session (which is usually the hardest session!). What a little heartbreaker!
Avery's 1 Year Pictures
Well my little Avery is already 13 months old and I finally finished her 1-year photos last week. I guess that's what happens when it's your third child and have a BUSY May with birthday parties, dance recitals and end of school functions! I can't believe Avery is already technically a "toddler" even though she's not even close to actually toddling around. (She's very content crawling and doesn't even like to stand assisted). She has SO much personality already and is a social little butterfly! She loves to give kisses, wave, dance, eat (anything!), play with her sisters, and snuggle. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVERY!

Two weeks ago my daughter had her dance recital. It's her second year dancing with Madison Dance Academy and this year she was in a combo class with ballet and jazz. That meant she was in two dances! I think she loved being in more then one dance (and that one dance was in the first act and the other was in the 3rd act, so she got to hang out backstage with friends pretty much the whole recital)! I took some pics of her in her costumes and also some while she danced during her dress rehearsal. Looking at these remind me how FAST my baby is growing up. I still can't believe I have a 7-year-old who will be a second grader soon!

The {M} family
This was the second year I have gotten to photograph this amazing family. Their girls are all 3 years apart and I joked that it was like my family in 5 years (this was before they got their little boy). While scheduling their family pictures last year, something amazing happened; they got word of a little boy that was born that needed a home. They were able to foster him and then later adopt him. I love hearing about adoption stories! It was a blessing to see this family fall in love with that little boy last year, but hard at the same time as it wasn't a final placement yet. So this year was pure joy because I was photographing this little boy with his forever family! And you can see how much is big sisters adore him! They are having his adoption party next month and I love that some of these images will be used for it. Congratulations {M} family on your adoption and your beautiful family!
Newborn {C} - Sun Prairie, WI newborn photographer
How adorable is little {C}? He sure made me work though, hehe. Mom and Dad came in for a newborn mini. So, a 1, 1 1/2 hour shoot, right? Not quite :) Well after 2 hours and only get 1 shot, we decided to try again another day. Usually I just try to wrap babies and get some awake shots (and then they usually doze off while wrapped), but this little guy had other plans. He kicked out of every wrap I did (and I did some really tight!) and was just not happy :( He wanted to eat the whole time and maybe was just needing to cluster feed at that time. He also hated to have a wet diaper (or no diaper at all!). But once he came back just a week later, he was such a different baby. So much more content! He still didn't like his diaper off, and didn't like to be posed too much, but he was definitely a lot more calm. He got some good full feedings and was happy even when he was awake. I'm so glad we tried again!
