The{P} family's fall photo session
Even though little "L" turned one in July and I no longer get to see her every three months for photos, I was able to see her at 15 months for their family's annual fall session. We really lucked out this year in that we had such gorgeous weather this fall. Most sessions were in the 60s or 70s (though some had a lot of wind). The night we did this session, it was just perfect, besides the mosquitoes! Who would think we'd still have mosquitoes at the end of October!?! Well as usual, this family never disappoints. Sun Prairie Family Photographer - Extended Family {C}
When I get asked to photograph an extended family, I sometimes get nervous about making sure I have enough time to photograph everything in that needs to be captured. This family made it so easy on me! They were incredibly friendly, sweet and the kids were such good listeners. They did so well even though we were eaten alive by the mosquitos! It really was a fun shoot! Extended family sessions are very important to do and mean so much for the grandparents! I'm very glad we fit this shoot in when one of the siblings and his family came back to Wisconsin for a visit.
Sun Prairie family photographer - The {D} family
Usually when I'm asked to photograph a family, it's a family with younger children. I pack my bag with smarties, and get ready to use all of my "tricks" to try and get the little ones to smile for their family pictures. But once in awhile, I get to photograph families with older children. I know families with older children don't get their photos done every year because their kids don't change as fast as those little kid years, however it is STILL SO IMPORTANT to capture your family as it is, even when you have those teenagers who aren't super willing to do a photo shoot on a Friday or Saturday night. I know these kids weren't super excited for their shoot, but there were such good sports. We still laughed and had fun playing into their personalities a bit :) They also made it so easy on me since I didn't have to play "Peek a boo", or get them to say silly sayings; Although I did have to use "don't you smile" on Dad (j/k Mike!) Sun Prairie portrait photographer - Miss{L} turns one!
It has been such an honor photographing this sweetie every three months for the past year. I'm really sad that I won't get to see her so often anymore (though I am doing their family photos in October, yay!). She is probably the happiest baby I've ever photographed. She is so go with the flow and I was able to try out so many ideas on her throughout the year. Here's a little compilation storyboard I made for her momma of her first year that she has hanging in her room!
For Miss {L}'s one year photo shoot, we were able to bring back the curved stool I used for her newborn photos (my first time using the stool and my first outdoor newborn photos!). We also did an outdoor cake smash and a tub session (so smash and splash session!). I just adore how they turned out!
Sun Prairie child photographer - Mr. {B} turns two! Studio session
Time flies way too fast! I can't believe this little guy is already two! Seems like yesterday I was doing his momma's maternity photos. He definitely knows what he likes and wants, which wasn't pictures, haha. But Bucky Badger came to the rescue and we were able to play around a bit and get some good shots!
We even got some with big sis and mom and one of big sis alone ;)
