I truly love meeting new families. It's one of the best things about my job. This family was so sweet and I loved hearing their story. They have three beautiful children and had to go through so much with their youngest including long NICU stays and open heart surgery. We actually had to reschedule their first session because he needed his heart surgery sooner then they expected. But he is incredibly strong and such a fighter. Some people may think having a child with Down Syndrome is a burden, but I have seen through multiple families how much of a blessing it is. This little guy is a testament to that!

At the end of the shoot, mom wanted some pictures to use on her own blog for the cause of Inclusion. I loved being a part of such an amazing message and her family shared it so well!

Nothing warms my heart more then when I see the joy of a child getting a sibling. I know Miss {B} was very excited to get her baby brother; you can really see it in these pictures! I just love this family and it's so fun seeing them now as a family of 4!

Sun Prairie - Madison portrait photographer - Tea Party Fun!

I did a tea party session with my girl's last year and it was one of the most fun I've had taking pictures of them. They usually aren't too thrilled to do a session (photographer's child syndrome is real!), but they still ask to do another tea party session. I decided to do a stylized tea party session for a couple clients. It was complete with dresses and accessories to borrow (the little girls seemed to love to choose their own dress!), decor and cookies and apple juice. I'd say it was a success and I may make this an annual thing!

I have known the momma of this beauty since she was a baby because our mom's were good friends growing up. I just love that we are all having babies and families of our own. It was so fun meeting her husband and little girl since I hadn't seen her in probably 15 years! How sweet is Miss {M}? We missed the newborn stage due to a bad case of baby acne, but catching her at 2 months was still so sweet and we were able to capture smiles too!

Sun Prairie family photographer - The {W} Family

It's always fun when you get to do a shoot for someone you know. This is our 4k teacher and her family. I say "our" because she was both my oldest's teacher (Brianna who is now going into 3rd grade) and my middle daughter, Kaylee. I pray Avery gets her in two years too! Both just absolutely adored her! She was able to get to know my kiddos and it was fun being able to hang out with her family for a night. Her kids were so amazing and they just love each other so much; it's so great to see! I'm sure you can see the love just oozing from these photos! :)
