The {W} Family - Sun Prairie Neighbor's Magazine Family
WOW! I really have been lacking on my blogging. It's almost 2019 and I haven't blogged since spring! Get ready for a bunch of blog posts as I try and catch up on some of my awesome shoots from the past 6 months! (I have to share cause these families are awesome!)
Some of you Sun Prairie families have probably seen this adorable's family photos in a September edition of Sun Prairie Neighbors Magazine. I have started to partner with them to create features for their magazine. How cool is that?
Here are some of the chosen images for the magazine. This family was so fun and did so well despite the horrible mosquitoes that attacked us!
The {G} family - Downtown Sun Prairie
Just two nights ago our town suffered a horrible disaster. There was a gas leak causing an explosion and fires that lasted all night. Many businesses were demolished and we lost an amazing member of our community, a bar owner and volunteer firefighter who truly was the hero of the night. Our downtown will never be the same again. However, I have so proud to be part of a community that comes together when disaster strikes. Our entire little city jumped up to help wherever needed, restaurants were donating food, businesses donating supplies, families volunteering together to serve food or help evacuate people.
This family's session was done just a month before the explosion. Fellow photographer, Rachel Giblin of Rachel Manzke Photography and her family were being featured in Sun Prairie Neighbors Magazine and asked that I do their pictures for the magazine. I was so honored! Rachel has a studio downtown, about a block from the explosion, and she still doesn't know if her studio has any damage. Doing their family's session downtown was a great way to show how downtown Sun Prairie has become a part of who they are. It was an amazing night and great session. Seeing these images makes me a little sad knowing all that Rachel's business neighbors are going through and will have to overcome in the coming months and beyond. But we have to also look at these images with joy in that we know we are a town that can support each other and become stronger because of tragedy.
We will enjoy these images of Rachel and her beautiful family and know we are Sun Prairie Strong.
Newborn {J} - Sun Prairie newborn photographer
I just LOVE working with babies and kids, especially newborns. Scott and I are done having kids so being able to snuggle them at work is such a blessing. I was honored to photograph all three of these kids for their newborn sessions. They are all so adorable and it's fun to see the similairiets they had as babies. Here are some favorites from Mr {J}'s newborn session with his big brother and sister in my Sun Prairie photo studio.

How cool are these gender announcement pictures? I can't take any credit for the idea as this beautiful momma, another fellow photographer, had the idea planned out. I only did the execution. :) Congratulations Brittany! I'm so happy for you!!!!
Miss{L} turns 3! Sun Prairie child photographer
Three!!!!!! Can you really be 3 already Miss {L}? Seems like just yesterday I was doing this sweetie's newborn pictures. Time really does fly by! How sweet is she in her pictures for her milestone shoot? This cutie has the most adorable fun, sweet, personality and her session was so fun! What are your favorites?
