Sun Prairie family photographer - Extended family - the {L} family

It's always fun when I get to shoot extended family sessions, especially when it's on a family member's property. That means the pictures hold that much more meaning to the family, which I love. This family sure entertained me during the whole shoot. Such funny and witty people I tell ya! Makes for a fun night of shooting! I also was able to capture a special announcement for this family . . . scroll down to find out what!

Sun Prairie family photographer - Family of 4 fall photos

As a Sun Prairie, WI photographer, shooting in October is my absolute FAVORITE! There is so much beauty in the fall colors and textures. I was thrilled the colors lingered awhile longer this year. It is depressing when a big rain or wind comes through and takes those leaves off sooner then expected. This year, there was still some color coming into November! Pray that happens next year too!

This family is always so fun to shoot. The boys are so friendly and they always have a lot to tell me about. We always have fun at their sessions!

I really wanted to do a separate blog post for all of my fall mini's but I just couldn't. I only had 4 left so they are getting clumped together, sorry guys! I love all of these families and I love that they choose me every year to photograph their families. For those that don't know, I ONLY offer Fall mini's to my past clients (unless I have a cancellation and need a last minute fill in). Enjoy the rest of the Fall Mini's!

Sun Prairie family photographer - The {B} family - Fall session

I hate that I'm so behind on blogging in that I haven't even blogged all my fall sessions from 2016. OOOPS! Ok, trying to do it now! I have photographed this family for the past 4 years I believe and I think this was their "sweet spot year". We have had some challenging sessions in the past (cold weather with 6 week old, a tumble down a hill right before the session, another chilly year, and just a year where little brother was NOT in the mood for pictures). This year, everyone rocked the session and it was one of my favorites from the whole season (also thankful the sun decided to pop out that night!).

This sweet girl came into the studio and I was very excited to try some new props and outfits on her. She wasn't too sure of the whole photo shoot thing, but she was so adorable, it didn't matter that she didn't get me huge smiles throughout the whole session. Sometimes my favorite pictures are the straight faced ones :)
